Kim Hee-sun was born February, 25 1977 in Seoul, South Korea. She is a famous actress known for her long spanning career in a wide variety of roles she has both played for television and film. Her career started in 1993 when she was cast in the music show Inkigayo. This first appearance happened during her second year of high school. She has since become known as one of South Korea’s most beautiful actresses. During the 1990’s she had many roles in many dramas such as Propose and Forever and Wedding Dress. She also starred in other dramas such as Tomato and Goodbye My Love during this time period.
In 1997 she began building a career in film as well. She starred in Repechange during that year. Two years later she starred in her second film, Ghost in Love. Her most high profile roles was in the film Bichunmoo, in which she played the daughter of a Mongolian general. The film was a big-budget project and was released in 2000. This film also validated her as a Korean wave star. She became very popular in mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and many other places in Southeast Asia.
In 2006 she starred in the drama Smile Again. She got married to businessman Park Ju-young on October 19, 2007. She gave birth to a daughter on January 21, 2009. Her daughter’s name is Yeon-ah. Also in 2009 she published a book titled Kim Hee-sun’s Happy Mom Project. The book is about childcare and how to lose weight after pregnancy. In 2011 she appeared in the Chinese feature The Warring States. Her real comeback, however, was when she appeared in the romance Faith.
